Designing for Maximum Social Impact

The Architectural profession has a long tradition of being a catalyst for positive change. More recently this role has become marginalized. This session will explore the expanded potential for Architects, and their firms to challenge the conventional boundaries of practice in order to increase their social impact and address societal needs, including the need to address social sustainability in general practice.  Darryl Condon is Managing Principal of Vancouver based HCMA Architecture + Design and the presentation will include case studies of built work and community engagement activities undertaken by the firm.
