Legal Framework for Modern Practice

In addition to providing the best professional services possible, today’s design professionals must be aware of the prevailing legal issues which impact their practice. This seminar will provide an overview of the legal framework for various project delivery models and an in-depth review of recent developments in the law, contract considerations aimed at managing expectations and minimizing risk, particularly with increased used of technological innovations such as building information modelling, and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms to save parties time and cost.

Associate, Glaholt LLP

Joshua is an associate at Glaholt LLP. Joshua graduated from the University of Western Ontario dual-degree program, earning a J.D. as well as a Bachelor of Engineering Science in Civil Engineering, with distinction. Joshua’s practice focuses on complex international arbitration on industrial infrastructure projects but also includes representation of design professionals, owners and contractors in arbitration and court proceedings.
