Mona is a registered Architect at McLennan Design, an architecture and planning design practice that uses an ecological perspective to drive design creativity, registered in Washington State. With a career firmly rooted is design and the built environment, she is devoted to playing an active role in creating a positive impact in the world and enjoys inspiring others to do the same!
In addition to professional practice, Mona was a founding Director of the Manitoba Chapter of the Canada Green Building Council, Executive Director of Cascadia Green Building Council, a bioregional non-profit, and Vice-President Education + Events for the International Living Future Institute (ILFI) where she was responsible for curating and producing the organizations signature event. She has volunteered her time on advisory boards, has been a guest lecturer / critic and is now developing a course on Regenerative Design and Development for BCIT. She is also involved in the development and launch of McLennan Design`s affiliate organizations the School of Regenerative Design (SORD) and the Green Warrior Society. Mona is based in Vancouver and has had the opportunity to live, work and study in Venezuela, Japan and Chile. She is fluent in French, English and Spanish and is hanging on to what she now refers to as survival Japanese!
