Women in architecture and gender parity in the workplace

According to the AIA, though half of architecture students are women, 1 in 5 would discourage their peers to seek a career in the industry.  Now more than ever, the call of gender parity is more apparent in Canada, with our own Prime Minister committing to creating a more diverse Cabinet.

Facilitated by former OAA President, Lisa Bate, and participants from women in various levels of their careers at B+H Architects, this 1.5-hour roundtable session will explore the barriers and opportunities of gender equity in architecture and ways to close the gap.

The session will also allow discuss the role we all play in supporting diversity and gender parity in the workplace.
