171 years of continuing practice in Canada. Past, Present and Future

The session outlines the trajectory of the oldest continuing practice in Canada - spanning 171 years.  Starting from a humble yet influential practice in the nation’s first capital -  through evolving into the Canadian segment of a multinational entity, and looking to the future of the practice, themes in the body of work including associations and influences by other Canadian practices will be explored.  The evolution of practice will be uncovered as a case study to contrast against the experience and memory of the practice of architecture in both Ontario and Canada.
