Accessibility Directorate of Ontario

The Accessibility Directorate (ADO) is the department of the Ontario Government responsible for the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), 2005. Ontario is the first Canadian Province to pass a law to improve accessibility in the areas that impact the daily lives of people with disabilities. The ADO develops and enforces province-wide standards as well as educates and guides organizations to help them meet their requirements by providing free tools and resources available at Ontario.ca/accessibility.
