Patrick is a Principal and member of the Advisory Council at B+H, and one of the firm’s senior most design leaders. During his 19 years of practice, his range of project locations and typologies has become remarkably diversified.
Directly from completing his education at Cornell with top honours, NBBJ flew Patrick to Los Angeles, where over the course of a single summer his team’s designs grew into five of the largest commissions the firm had ever had.
Amongst these was the Staples Center, which is now home to four major league sports teams. Through his work on the Figueroa Corridor master plan, which in addition to the Staples Center also includes the Ritz Carlton and the Nokia theatre, Patrick was responsible for not only stadium design, but the definition of an entire new urban node. Following the success of these projects in the US, Patrick relocated to Budapest as the head of design for the Four Seasons Gresham Palace, which was to be the beginning of his history of stunning redevelopment projects of historical properties into world-renowned luxury destinations.
Today, Patrick remains a leader in the designs that reshape and define the urban fabric. In addition to the recent completion of such landmark buildings as MaRS Phase 2, Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada, and Bow Valley Square, Patrick is currently working on the Hotel Tangara Palacio in Sao Paulo, Four Seasons Madrid, and the redevelopment of Bridgetown, Barbados which includes the master plan of an UNESCO World Heritage Neighbourhood into a Luxury Hospitality, Retail and Residential Project.
